Statement Neckpieces - My Collection

My love for neckpieces are increasing day by day. When I started experimenting with fashion, I really wanted to use accessories as the main focus piece. Accessories add new look to our outfits. These are bold as well as feminine at the same time. It can be a bit intimidating for its size, but trust me the more you'll wear them, the more you'll appreciate them for their beauty. Today I'll be sharing some of my favourite neckpieces which varies from chunky to daily wear types. So lets get started...

This is the simplest one of the all. The elegance and simple design is the main beauty this necklace. Its kind of long. The gold, bronze and white compliments each other. This is my go to necklace.

This you might have seen in my instagram. Its simple as well as chic. It doesnot give too much attention to the neck area still being there. I love the leafy design.

This is another piece that I was totally in love with. The color combination makes it easier to go with a lot of pairings. It looks awesome with button up shirts.

Now what do I say about this. I am OBSESSED with this. I am yet to wear this as I am not getting the perfect dress which can compliment its beauty. I bought this from abroad.

Look at that!! Its such a lovely pop of color to my monocrome dresses. Its a head turner, trust me.

Its my latest purchase. Its big and chunky yet can be worn with soo many of my dresses, tops, shirts etc. Its a glam piece.

When I first got into statement necklaces, I had this reservation that it cannot be worn casually rather its meant only for special occassions. I really wanted to utilise the neckpieces to the fullest. Now I even wear it if I am going for an evening stroll or friends get together, shopping, outing, almost everytime I stepout of home apart from Work.

Hope you liked it and if you are new to accessories to necklaces, hope this encourages you to try something new.

Thank you so much for stopping by...

FABINDIA VITAMIN E DAILY MOISTURISING CREAM REVIEW

Vitamin E is extremely versatile. Regular application of Vitamin E oil can bring about marked improvement in the skin condition. Vitamin E oil has an amazing anti – ageing effect on skin. It also prevents water loss from the skin and helps to retain its natural moisture. This oil is also used to treat minor sun burns and also effective in removing scars. Well, that was a bit of information I thought of sharing with you all.

The moment I saw this cream on the store shelf, wanted to try it ASAP. I have a normal-combination skin type, which is sort of okay during winters and a bit oily on the T-zone in summers. I have been using this cream for over a year now and currently this is my alternative moisturizer.

The packaging of the product is nothing fancy but comes in a white soft tube with a flip–top. The consistency of the cream is just right. I need a tiny amount for the face and neck during summers for that required moisture for my skin. It does not make my skin oily or greasy even at summers and gets absorbed easily. I personally love this cream to massage into my skin for effective results. I have even used this cream before going to bed and it did not break out on me. Have never faced any problem of dryness with this on. The fragrance of this cream is soothing.

Personally, I love this cream and also some of my friends who have tried this are still continuing with it.

Current Skin Care Regime

Helloooo…

Today I thought of doing this post not only because I wanted to share my skin care routine, but also do small reviews and my thoughts on those products. I have mentioned it before also that the products I use are nor high end brands neither very expensive. I even don’t use too many products, so it’ll be a simple post.

NIGHT:
The reason behind my starting with night first is because my day and night routine are more or less same, night being a bit more elaborate.

So, after I return from work I always make it a point to first take off my makeup (as they call it) with a cream cleanser and then wash my face with a face wash. I first start by taking off my eye makeup with Lakme Absolute Bi-phased Makeup Remover. The Lakme one doesn’t specify it as an eye and lip makeup remover as compared to the Maybelline one. Though I didn’t try using it all over my face in the fear of breaking out. Honestly I liked the Maybelline Bi-phased remover better and you get an extra 10 ml for the same price. Lakme remover does the job but I have to spend a little more time, energy and patience. I’ll be going back to the Maybelline one as soon it finishes.  Price: Rs 225 for 60 ml.

Next step is talking off my face makeup. I use the fabindia Lavender Cleansing Milk. It’s a good cleanser. The bottle is bound to last for months. Value for money product. Price: Rs 180 for 200 ml.

Next I wash my face with a mixture of Neutregena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser and Lotus Herbal Oatmeal Yogurt Scrub. The face wash has a thick creamy texture. It claims to control oiliness which it does quite an extent. It doesn’t lather much as compared to its name ‘foaming cleanser’. It does a good job in taking away all the dirt, oil and makeup residue. I have been using this cleanser for couple of weeks. Temperature is already rising and I thought of changing over to a deep cleaning cleanser instead of my moisturizing cleanser (Dove Face wash – blue one) that I was using during the winter. I have a combination skin and this face wash does a decent job and makes my skin squeaky clean. I like this product. Price: Rs. 170 for 100 ml.

After this I generally use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion in type 2. This is a fantastic product. Review here.
Coming to the last step, Ponds Gold Radiance Precious Youth Serum. I have been using this from the onset of winters. As I mentioned before I have a combination skin and I really don’t need a moisturizer after the serum. This serum has micro gold particles. All you need is just two drops and you are done. This serum imparts a healthy glow as soon as I apply. So far I am loving it. Although not sure of changing it but am also keen to try the Lakme serum. Lets see. Price: Rs 899 for 30 ml. But at times I do use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion for a change.  Review here.

So here end my night regime.

MORNING:
I always wash my face with either the Neutregena Deep Clean Foaming Cleanser or the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. Full review here.

After that I use the Clinique clarifying Lotion and the Ponds Serum and I proceed to do my face makeup. One thing I would like to say is that the Ponds Gold Radiance serum also acts a good primer or base for my makeup.

I use face packs once or twice a week. I generally use Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Clean Up once a week. I just layer it on while shampooing my hair (multi tasking :P). I really don’t have an opinion on this mask. I use it just to finish it off. I don’t see or feel any significant change post application. Another face pack I like using is the Fabindia Charcoal Face Pack.

So here’s my brief daily skin care routine. What are your Daily Skin Care Routine Products? I would love to hear it from you.
See you soon…

In Love with.... #2

Hellos...
In this post I'll be sharing with all of you my current favorites.. These are basically some random as well as beauty stuffs. I'll be also sharing my mini reviews of the products as well..

MAC PRO LONGWEAR CONCEALER

Lately I've been getting very less sleep. Thanks to concealers who comes to rescue for the result of less sleep. MAC Pro Longwear Concealer gives a good coverage. Its creamy as well as light. But the Shade NW38 is way too dark on me. I was very upset and dissapointed when I came home and saw the actual colour difference. I was asking the SA constantly whether NW38 will be dark on me or not, but she was so sure that it is the correct shade for me. When applied, it sort of gives an orangish colour on my skin. It basically works as an orange corrector. I have to use a good coverage foundation on top of the concealer otherwise my dark circles are more obvious. I hope to get my correct shade soon. But otherwise a good concealer
Price: Rs.1200/-

REVLON COLORSTAY WHIPPED CREME MAKEUP
Its a medium coverage foundation. I have been using this foundation throughout the winter. It gives a very natural and velvety finish to my skin. I am using the shade 180 Ocre Naturel. Its a tad big lighter than my skin tone. I make sure that I don't use too much. Overall I really like this product.
Price: 800/-

POND'S GOLD RADIANCE PRECIOUS YOUTH SERUM

Now what do I say about this. I love this product to its core. It gives a nice glow after application. During winter I am using this two times daily but am not very sure whether I'll be using it twice in summers as well or not. It acts as an primer as well. A serum is an essential part of skin care and I think to start with this will be an excellent idea. Its a magic potion, trust me.

LAKME 9 TO 5 LIPSTICK: RED CHAOS

This particular shade is perfect for office. Its not really nude yet not that loud. It adds that required colour to my lips not looking to much for office time. Lakme has came up with some nice office going shades in their 9 to 5 range, though our generation office timings are 9 to 9, even more at times. This is the most used lipstick from the time I've bought this.
Price: Rs. 400/-

JUST CAVALLI

It was love at first sniff. Very feminine yet not at all floral. The smell lingers for days. Its my staple fragrance. I love it. I haven't used anything else from the day I got this as a gift from my brother who bought this from US. Love it. Will be repurchasing it for sure.

NAIL COLOURS:

Lately I've been obsessed with these three colours. I've been using these three colours alternatively.

COTTON PADS

Coming to random stuffs.. these cotton pads are very soft yet sturdy. I mean soft on skin yet sturdy and doesn't tear. These cotton Pads are very helpful while removing eye and face makeup. Earlier I used Cotton balls but I find these to be more easy to use as well as soft on skin.

EARING STORAGE:

Bought this container from Starmark for storing my daily wear as well as most used earrings. It being see though, I can easily locate my earrings and keep it organised as well.
Price: Rs.99

LIPSTICK STORAGE:

Previously I showed you my daily lipstick storage basket about an year ago. A year later my collection increased so did my storage. I bought this from Starmark as well. Love the cute little handles.
Price: Rs.75/-

ZIP BAGS:

These zip bags are very helpful while travelling. These are just perfect for carrying the necessary stuffs. These being not too big just fits in to your bag keeping it organised.
Price: Rs.65/- each

CLUTCH BAG:

This was a random buy. Its a cotton Clutch Bag with floral fabric prints. Its feminine as well as very spacious.
Price: Rs.89/-

Some of my Favorite Jewellery

Helloo
Here's some of my Jewellery that I would like to share/show it with you. Do give your comments on how you like my collection. So lets get started...

To start with, all of us know this owl was so much in fashion some time back. So to keep up with the trend, I also bought some different types of owl.. Out of them, this one is my favorite. It has a long chain attached to it. My this piece is hardy enough and also is of good quality. I generally pair it up with my mono-colored tops. I bought this from Dakshinapan, Dhakuria of Kolkata. Price: Rs.120/-

This one's my another favorite. The set is of silver and Pearl. I absolutely love this. Though I cannot pair it with any top or kameez, but still, this looks very classy, elegant, chic with Handloom or any sober saris which are another hit in the present market. In Kolkata, handloom saris are selling like hot cakes.

This was absolutely an random buy. It's a very common design but on the other hand, cute. Can be worn to any casual occasions.

I love it. It looks good with certain kurtas, dresses, tops even with some saris.I love the uneven arrangements of the neckpiece.

This is a simple set yet has a very traditional design. Looks very good with matching sari.

Last but not the least, a nice 'Hasli' design neckpiece. I had matching earrings but have  misplaced it.

Hope you like my part collection. Do give your valuable comments on how you like it...
See you soon.

My January Vellvette Box

hellossszzzz...
Today I am in a super mood in updating my blog... So I'll be sharing with you all my January Vellvette Box. This was My 1st box and not to be very frank I am not happy with it. I was very excited to see other bloggers showing their Boxes every month. So this January I decided to subscribe my box for just 1 month trial. I really speculated for almost everyday what luxury bands I would receive and started my countdown after the 3rd week of January. I received my box on 28th January and was a bit dissapointed by seeing my box, so didnt feel like sharing with you all ASAP. Althouh better late than never.

This time the box came wrapped in a golden ribbon, but unfortunately I lost it, so cannot show you.
Inside there are small pieces of hard papers describing each product details and prices, one personalised card stating the products in the box and another discount coupons...

So here's my box...

So here are my products

O.P.I. Nail Varnish - Vampsterdam
I am wearing the same Nail Polish in the pic.
(I didn't want any nail polish in my box. I was more dissapointed with this polish because it chipped off within 1 day. Even the local brand nail polishes doesn't chip off within 1 day)

Clinique Clarifying Lotion - 2
(This is basically a toner and the only product in the box that I love)

Nayassa Belgian Chocolate Body Scrub
(Though it smells delicious but that doesnot mean I like it. The Quantity is too less and I think it will get over in only one application for full body)

So I was in two minds whether to subscribe for the February Vellvette Box or not.. and finally made up my mind not to subscribe.

Would love to hear what you got in your box.

Bye and See you soon... take care .. Lots of love...
